Environmental Impact of the Destruction of the Kvadrat Shopping Center in Kyiv

What Happened

As a result of a massive missile and drone attack in the Lukianivka area of Kyiv, the Kvadrat shopping center was destroyed, while the nearby Lukianivskyi market and surrounding objects were also affected. According to a preliminary estimate, the incident caused significant damage to atmospheric air due to a large-scale fire, CO₂ emissions, soot, ash and combustion products from construction materials, plastics, furniture, electrical equipment and commercial pavilions.
